CANDLE MAKING
You will need paraffin, beeswax, or used candles any size carton you choose, a pencil, and a wick or piece of hemp. In a double boiler, melt wax slowly over very low heat. While the wax is melting, tie a wick or hemp to the center of a pencil and suspend across the open square of carton. When the wax is melted, slowly and carefully pour it into the carton mold. (It is a good idea to place the carton on a pan to catch anything that may drip over.) When thewax is hardened, tear away the mold. You can make your candle more interesting and magickal by adding one or two crystals, a tiny pinch or leaf from a favorite herb, or a tiny spell written on parchment. To do this, pour wax only one quarter of the way into the carton. Then add your herbs, spell, crystals or melted dragon's blood, gently placing tem around the edges (you may want to use another pencil for this). Pour a little more wax and add another crystal, herb etc. and so on until you fill the mold. If you want to give a lacy look to the candle, pour the wax over a few ice cubes in the bottom of the carton, before adding your magickal items.
